T.A. Cook opens office in the USA

Two years after asset performance management specialists T.A. Cook & Partner Consultants began working on consulting projects in North America, the firm has increased its US market presence with its own office, opened on 1st February 2008 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

"The US market offers great potential in the area of maintenance," comments T.A. Cook Managing Director Frank-Uwe Hess on the US market entry, "There is a lot of work there for our firm as many plants in North America are now quite old. And management knowledge from Europe – especially Germany – enjoys a particularly good reputation in the USA."

Project Manager and Consultant Larry Olson will be responsible for driving T.A. Cook's North American operations. The 46-year-old is not only familiar with the US market, he also brings considerable know-how gained from many years of international experience in planning and managing maintenance projects in Europe and the Middle East. Olson recently led the planning and implementation of a Work Management System for a multinational energy company. Initially launched on a regional scale, the system was later adopted in plants across the world.

Together with London and Birmingham, Raleigh (N.C.) is now the third office representing T.A. Cook abroad. Building on its successful year in 2007 with a total turnover of 7.9 million euros, the consultancy is continuing to expand.
