T.A. Cook made its third appeal for its clients to make a donation for children in need. This time the consulting firm asked its clients to help children in Africa so they can attend school and have a better future.
T.A. Cook donated €5 to the UNICEF 'Schools for Africa' education campaign for every client that logged on to the donation area of our website. In total €1.500 was collected for the charity.
In January, Dr. Beatrice Bensel, head of UNICEF Berlin, collected the cheque in T.A. Cook's Berlin office from Company Director Frank-Uwe Hess.
Dr. Bensel said of the donations “This will be used by UNICEF in cooperation with the Nelson-Mandela-Trust to lay the foundations of a new school or to renovate a class room. It will go towards school materials for the children and training for the teachers. Education will include lessons in hygiene and Aids awareness. School is therefore for many children in Africa the only chance to escape poverty and hope for a happier life. On behalf of UNICEF, I would therefore like to thank all the donors.”
